A New Visitor Experience

On 7th July 2026, Afterglow brought its first drone show to Land's End, marking the beginning of an exciting partnership between one of Cornwall's most iconic destinations and one of the UK’s up-and-coming drone show companies.

Over the past few years, we've been working closely with the Land's End team, sharing a vision of creating unforgettable visitor experiences in a more sustainable and innovative way. As attractions across the UK look for new ways to entertain guests while reducing their environmental impact, drone shows offer a fresh, modern alternative that blends technology, creativity, and storytelling.

That vision became a reality on 7th July, when a hundred illuminated drones took to the skies at the corner of Cornwall, showcasing what years of planning, collaboration, and dedication can achieve. The debut performance marks the start of an ongoing partnership that will bring a new era of evening entertainment to one of Cornwall's most recognisable landmarks - and we’re so excited about this collaboration.

Lands End Drone Show: What to Expect

This summer, our Cornwall drone show will light up the skies above Land's End every Tuesday and Thursday from 23rd July to 27th August, with the show starting at 10:00pm.

Each show lasts around 12 minutes and features 100 drones performing a choreographed display of colourful animations. Expect to see everything from ocean-inspired creatures and iconic Cornish scenes to mesmerising geometric patterns, all brought to life above one of the UK's most spectacular coastlines.

Best of all, the show is completely free to watch - you’ll only need to pay for parking. Whether you’re a tourist visiting Land's End for the day or a local making a special trip for the evening, it's a unique experience that's well worth staying up for.

Like any outdoor event, the show is weather dependent. While we always hope for clear skies, strong winds or poor weather may mean we need to postpone a performance. If that happens, make sure you’re following the Lands End Instagram account for updates and check this before you travel.

Reactions from New Cornwall Drone Show

The response to our debut show at Land's End couldn't have been more encouraging. Seeing visitors gather to watch 100 drones illuminate the Cornish coastline was a proud moment for everyone involved.

Trevor Broome, General Manager at Land's End Landmark, shared his thoughts after the first performance:

"I thought it was amazing. The audience's reaction was incredible, and it just looked stunning with the backdrop of Land's End."

For visitor attractions considering a drone show of their own, we also asked Trevor what the experience of working with Afterglow had been like - from the first conversations through to show night.

"It's been a great process. Working with them through putting on the show has been really collaborative. It's been a great experience for all of us, and I think everyone has really benefited from it. They're very easy and laid back to work with, and they've really taken into consideration what we need as a business. It's really made a difference to us."

Innovation and sustainability were key drivers behind Land's End's decision to introduce drone shows.

"For us, the goal was to really make a statement; to show we're the market leader and be the first. This is a time where we have to look at what our environmental impact is and what the future is. We really wanted to be the first established drone show in Cornwall throughout the summer."

And after the first show, Trevor felt that goal had been achieved.

"Tonight has proved we've well and truly done that."
